Staging and Selling a home in the winter has it’s obstacles… but none that can’t be overcome.

This season in Michigan has been especially taxing. Dead grass, no leaves… and the lovely combination of muck and dirt are difficult to overcome when it comes to curb appeal. Once the snow begins to fall the white beauty will glisten through, but in the meantime — and once the thaw hits — we need to look at solutions to rectify that initial impression left with the patches of dirt and the bland colors which the season displays.

Make sure your entrance says “Welcome”… a wreath on the door or an urn of greens on the porch make for a pleasant entry.

Keep the home comfortably warm
… even in a vacant home!  If a home buyer walks in to a cold home, they will be rushed to make a quick exit.

Turn on those lights… winter means shorter days so an investment in a timer for your outside lights will come in especially handy.
